Come and learn how to make small but beautiful paper flowers out of Italian crepe paper. This is a friendly, informal but informative workshop, suitable for ages 10 and up. The workshop is led by Kate Alger, a local award-winning artist-printmaker who regularly teaches a wide range of creative disciplines. Some of Kate’s original prints will be on display and for sale as part of the group exhibition in Brightwells at the same time as the workshop takes place. On Monday afternoon you’ll get to choose from lots of different coloured quality crepe paper, learn different ways to shape petals, and how to add a touch of colour. You’ll leave with not just a posy of unique flowers which won’t ever need watering but also a new skill and possibly a new hobby… All materials are included in the ticket price apart from bud vases – although there will be some available for a small supplement on the day. The Farnham Creatives’ Network is a growing social group set up to provide local artists, makers, designers, educators, gallerists and creatives of all kinds with an opportunity to meet and get to know each other a little better.
Relaxed and informal gatherings are held 6 times per year, hosted by Farnham Maltings, where creatives can chat over a drink and share ideas and experiences in a friendly and collaborative environment.
