We will commence with an introduction to mordants and fibres. Next, embrace a meditative ritual of selecting vibrant petals, fragrant leaves and earthy pigments, tuning in to the subtle hues each element offers. Guided through the art of bundle dyeing, you’ll create unpredictable, intricate patterns on satin-soft ribbons. By workshop’s end, you’ll take home: • A curated collection of hand-dyed ribbons • A basic understanding of mordanting methods and fibre preparation • Confidence to recreate this fascinating dyeing practice on other textiles at home!
