Every October Farnham puts on a month-long celebration of craft.
Events take place every day, run by our local makers, craft organisations and community groups. Last year saw over 150 events, many of which are free of charge.
Organisations and individual makers across all the craft disciplines are encouraged to open their doors and showcase what they do.
Whether you offer workshops, exhibitions, an open studio or a pop-up shop, we want to know about it, so that we can promote all the creativity going on in Farnham and surrounding areas.
If you would like to showcase your craft in October, this is for you. Read on for how to apply!
What do you need to do?
If you are organising an Open Studio, we are suggesting October 10-11 as the best time. We will focus our marketing on Open Studios that weekend, so that visitors will have lots to visit. Let us know if you want to borrow any Open Studios signage.
What happens next?
As usual, we will produce a printed brochure listing everything that’s happening, with clickable links for people to find out more. These will be distributed to local shops, arts spaces and public venues, to publicise your event. Click here to see last year’s brochure.
In addition, the events will be featured in our social media programme during October and on our searchable events listing on this website and on https://www.farnham.gov.uk/events/
In order to be included, you need to organise your own venue, and be a local maker based in Farnham or nearby villages.
