Candle Making Course at the Rural Life Living Museum

Join us as we welcome Brian from Rowhill Candles for a Candle Making Course at the Rural Life Living Museum. You will be using soy wax to make two container candles and three beeswax pillar candles to take home. You’ll learn about different aspects of candle making, different waxes, wicks and container choices.

This workshop is ideal for complete beginners. Although some protective equipment will supplied, dress casually for this practical workshop, please! No previous experience is needed, just come along and learn a new skill.

Please be aware that you will use Fragrance Oils to which some individuals could have an allergic reaction. Fragrance oil candles are NOT recommended to be burnt if you have pets, in which case you can request to make two natural soy candles. Please inform the museum in advance of any allergies to wax, fragrance oils, foods or drinks. Any questions please email schools@rural-life.org.uk.
