Farnham is England’s first World Craft Town, and we are committed to supporting artists and makers through a series of residencies every Spring. Each of our artists in residence will be asked to create a piece inspired by Farnham, which will form part of our local craft collection.

In 2025 we had a very large number of applications, and were delighted to welcome Cristina Lorenzet, an Italian ceramicist, now based in London. Find out more about her experiences and those of Fiona Byrne, our first Artist in Residence on our YouTube channel. 

This year applications will open at the end of July, with a closing date at the end of August. Dates for the Residency itself are normally mid February to mid March, but the exact dates and duration are open to discussion.
